It is the third day of our stay here in Osaka. The typhoon has passed and the city is looking much nicer especially when it is lit up by the sun. Although the weather is still hot and humid, I think we are getting used to being sticky and uncomfortable. It`s actually quite nice because it makes the showers here so much more gratifying. Speaking of showers, I love the bath rooms here. You get to shower while sitting in front of a big mirror and it`s just awesome. I`m currenlty living in the same home as beland, addison, and kevin, and I think they would agree that the bath room and the bathroom are like nothing the western world has ever seen. There are gadgets and gizmos a plenty and each one has a little charm of its own.
Now that that`s said, I want to share on how the gospel has been going forth to the peoples of Japan here in Osaka. Today the team passed out fliers to junior high students while they were going home from school. The fliers were for an English language class at the church, I know, there is no explicit gospel mentioned in the flier, but I think the church people here are being sneaky and getting the kids to come in so that they can get an opportunity to hear the gospel without all the controversy of on-campus gospel presentations. It`s so awesome seeing how this church is constantly putting on programs and reaching out to the kids here, I have been greatly encouraged by the resident missionaries as well as the resident Japanese seminary students and I hope that I can continue to pour out myself for their encouragement day by day until we leave. Tommorow we will be returning to the college we went to yesterday and we will be meeting up with the ESS English club there again, I wonder if they will make me dance again...but alas, It is my joy to be a fool for the gospel.
