yo! konnichiwa! :) dorothy desu! (this is dorothy!) hehe "i am so hungry i could eat a horse"...and a whale. yes, yesterday me and priscilla ate horse sashima and whale!!! no way you say? well...anything can happen in japan i guess.
alright, here comes a play by play of what happened on saturday. me and hyo left takanaka-san's house and met up with the team at church around 10am and helped with cutting/washing vegetables in the church kitchen in preparation for the bbq at night. then, we left church and took the electric train to meet some students at tsutenkaku tower. there we rode up this elevator and we had a good view of all of osaka. you could even see the osaka castle WAAAY far in the distance. pretty cool huh? then our team took some sticky pics together in the cool japanese sticky pic booths.
only a few college students came, but it was cool to just see them come out. we split up into 3 groups--my group didnt' have any of the college students, but i know some of my team members had some good conversations with them. :) keep praying for these japanese students here, that the Lord would soften their hearts and save them.
then, we just walked around the area for almost 2 hours and that's where me and priscilla ate the horse and whale. then, we met back up with the groups and we all went to the biggest shrine in osaka. that was kind of interesting--just to see what the japanese people look at and stuff, though kind of weird. then we left the shrine fairly quickly and rode the train back to church. the bbq commenced and we just ate and talked with a few of the students. okay, this is my last post in japan and we leave tomorrow back for the US! bye!
