After our morning team meeting, we headed out to Tennoji for a day with friends, filled with food, singing, and more food. We really enjoy fellowshipping over food. :D
Today, we went to Tennoji. We were able to see the Harukas, the tallest building in Osaka! It was so tall that when we looked up to see the top the sun shone into our eyes and we almost couldn't see it. Must have been pretty tall!
We made it to Tennoji in time for lunch. The guys were able to have lunch with Shota and spend a few hours hanging out and talking. They all seemed like they were having a ton of fun when we met back up after lunch. We hope that it was a good time of encouragement for them and that they were able to enjoy fellowship with other believers.
The girls met up for lunch with some of Fumika's university friends. It was kind of like a good-bye lunch for her since it would be the last time she could see them before she comes back to America with us. Tomoko was also able to join us for lunch during her lunch break. We really enjoyed being able to spend some time with her outside of the apartment and our late night girl talks.

Fumika had wanted to meet with her friends before she left so that she could say good bye but even more importantly God had put in her heart the desire for her friends to know that she is a Christian and how she became a believer. Her friends didn't know that she is a believer and she really wanted to share with them how the great news of the gospel changed her life. We were so encouraged by her boldness and it served as a great reminder for us to be bold and remember the gospel's impact on our own lives.
Her friends surprised her at the end of lunch with a bouquet of flowers and a collage cork board with pictures of their friendship. It was really sweet to see how much they cared for her and how sad but excited they were for her to come study in the states. Her own love for them was shown in her desire for them to know Christ and share with them the most important thing in her life. One of her friends seemed interested by what Fumika was sharing with them and we hope that she will be able to come to church on Sunday to learn more.

After lunch, we met up with Takuya, a student from OPU. He had the day off and wanted to join us. We are so thankful that he came even though he was the only student. Our plan was to go bowling nearby, so we took the train to the next stop and walked a few blocks...After a few turns and street crossings, we arrived at the bowling alley, only to see that it was a pile of dirt. The place had been demolished and was under construction. haha so we headed back to Tennoji for an afternoon of karaoke! One of our favorite activities. Shota hung out with us for the rest of the afternoon and we all enjoyed being in an air conditioned room, singing our lungs out to American, Japanese, and even Chinese songs!
We split up once again for dinner. Ed and Eric went to have dinner with Takashi and a friend of his. They were able to get to know him and share the gospel with him. It's been really cool seeing the Japanese college students at HBC take the initiative to invite their friends to church and to hangouts with us, hoping that there will be opportunities to share the gospel with them.
The rest of stayed at Tennoji for dinner where Tomoko, Janelle, and Mika joined us. We enjoyed even more time hanging out. Collin, Silvie, and Fumika were able to talk with Takuya more about the gospel and challenge him to think through it more.

In summary, it was a packed day but worth every moment of it. God kept opening up doors for us to share the gospel with the students throughout the day and for us to have a good time with them.
Please be praying for all the students that heard the gospel today. We pray that it is truth that they will come to understand one day so that they may be saved from their sins and have eternal life. We have a busy last weekend coming up with the church, but please pray that we would cherish our time with them.
Thanks!
Priscilla
