Hi all, this is Collin blogging for today. It was another busy but fulfilling Sunday at church. During both services, our team had the opportunity to sing the song “O Great God” to the congregation for offering music. For the first service during the message time, our team moved into the dining hall area and I had the chance to encourage fellow team members with a sermon on 2 Corinthians 5:11-15, an exhortation on heart motivations for ministry.
During lunch time and throughout the afternoon, our time was spent with church members and some students/friends who came to visit. We had great time of fellowship as well as playing around with the church kids.

I spent lunch time talking to Hans, one of Silvie’s friends from elementary school who is now working in Japan. It was a good time of encouragement and fellowship as we discussed the difficulties of the working world and how much fellowship with other believers helps.
Also, Shoko, a former student of Nara women’s university came out to visit as she knew a few of the team members from previous years and wanted to spend time with us before we left.
Additionally, the team and church members were also encouraged to see Shota visit us in the afternoon. We are very glad that we could encourage him during this trip and support him amid the trials he is experiencing.
Takao, who had also come to our camp at church last weekend, came out again in the late afternoon and joined us and some of the church members for dinner at a sushi restaurant. It was the last big outing that our whole team had with most of the church members who served alongside of us. During dinner, we were able to talk to Takao one last time about the gospel and believing the Bible and were able to share our convictions on creation, evolution, and science. To end a day full of fellowship with the church members, some of us went out to the Onsen together for one last time.
We are very grateful to have spent our last Sunday with a good mix of fellowship with church members, fun, excess food, and gospel sharing. Even though ministry has been wrapped up, please continue to be in prayer for HBC and also the hearts of the many students that we talked to, that God would continue to work even after we are gone.
