Hello again! Sorry that we're a bit late on the blog, but I hope you've been faithfully praying for us!!
On Tuesday, we spent lunchtime with Midori at kaiten-sushi! As a team, we wanted to thank her for all that she had done for us thus far, taking care of us and retrieving our lost water bottles. It's kinda been a trend of ours to forget our water bottles at various locations, and she's always been the faithful deliverer of our lost goods. Her joyful attitude in all that she does sets a wonderful example to us. Currently, all the guys are staying at their home, which increases her family from 5 boys to 8! She is always looking to serve us by doing our laundry, cooking amazing food, driving us back and forth, and imparting tremendous wisdom from her years of raising boys. As a team, we decided that taking her to sushi would be our small way of thanking for her for all that she does. We had a great time at sushi, enjoying fellowship and great food.

Afterwards, we had a team meeting and prepared for our ministry at night. The guys went to dinner with Takashi Higuchi's friend named Naoya. He's currently a teacher at a high school for deaf students and is an incredibly intelligent guy. We had a difficult conversation with him in which we tried to share the Gospel, but we found that communicating complex truths in simple English is quite challenging. We did tell him the truth of his sin and of God's character, and we trust in God's powerful Word to change his heart. Please pray for Takashi Higuchi to continue to follow-up with Naoya and have profitable discussions in the future!
While the guys were hanging out with Naoya, the girls had dinner with our friend Saki once again! They have a great discussion regarding the differences between Catholicism and true Christianity that involved much Bible study. The girls learned that they didn't need to prove to Saki that Catholic dogma isn't biblical, but that they should see if Saki can correctly use and interpret Scripture. It was also a difficult conversation, but again, hopefully future conversations between Tamie and Saki will open up. Please pray for her faithfulness to follow up and to have wisdom to correctly lead her in Bible study.
