The team is doing well, in good spirits. We are all excited to be in Japan soon
We made it safely through security and we are off to SFO now.
So far so good. Thanks to those of you who sent us off this morning. We really appreciate you guys driving us and helping us out. Please keep praying for us! 7 more days!
By this time next week, we will be on a plane heading to Osaka. This next week is going to be a busy time for the team as we are finalizing all our purchases and packing all our items. On top of that, some of the team members are finishing up finals, some are busy graduating, and others are busy moving out of their apartments, or all of the above. Please pray for us as we get ready to go. Lots to do still! http://www.facebook.com/Japan1Stm

ALSO! Keep praying for us please!! -Eric Hi everyone,
Thank you for your faithfulness in supporting us financially and through prayer in the last couple of weeks. We are heading down the homestretch of our preparation as we have less than 20 days to go. Can you believe it? Some prayer requests for us: 1. That the Gospel would be on our minds daily so that evangelism would naturally flow out of us. 2. That we would be in much prayer for our trip. Evangelism starts on our knees! 3. That God would provide for us financially. As of this week, we are still significantly short on our finances but we pray that God will provide for us in the next 20 days or so. 4. That we would be faithful in our preparation. There is still work to be done before we go. Pray for us to be faithful with what we have to do. Thanks for reading and for your prayers. Ed Hello everyone, Thanks for those of you who have been praying for us and have been checking out the blog! The imminence of our departure day is starting to hit home now as we now have just a little over 34 days and counting til we leave for Japan. Please keep praying for us as we continue preparing for our trip.
In the meantime, we will be starting a testimony series on this blog. It will feature testimonies from each of the team members and hopefully it will be an encouragement for all of you who read it. Please keep checking back for updates! -Ed This past Sunday, Grace Community Church held its STM sendoff day. As a team, Japan 1 spent the afternoon preparing by having pastors encourage us on ways to prepare spiritually and practically for the ministry. During the evening service, each STM team was introduced to the congregation and “sent off”. Here are a few pictures from the evening: Please consider supporting our trip either through prayer, finances, or both. We would love to have your support! Prior to our departure date, we will be having periodic updates on the blog, so keep coming back to check on us!
Today was the Crossroads Volleyball Tournament which is put on every year to raise money for our STM trips this summer. Japan 1 had a team this year and we had some help from some of our friends. We had a ton of fun as a team, got sunburnt, and improved (?) our volleyball skills. All in all, it was a good day for STMs as we were able to raise a lot of support for our trips. Here are some pictures from today’s festivities: |
