[thursday post]
totally slept in today, so i missed breakfast at takenaka's. woke up when people got back from breakfast and had team meeting... not too much in the meeting other than Acts Study pt.4. its been really profitable studying the Word on the field, really great indeed. its one thing to be on the field and serving, its another thing to be on the field serving and being ministered to by God.

we did a little bit of split n' serve, in the sense that we went out and attacked different aspects of our ministry here. ray ray, addison, and leah, stayed at the church and continued with yard work and painting and english classes. for the rest of us, (hyo, dorothy, beland n' priscilla, jun, etsuko, and meself) hit up OPU students for lunch. drove over to OPU and met up students, and though our original plans had to be changed, (we expected like 10 people total, ended up with like 19 or so) and so rather than splitting up, we had take out okonomiyaki at guy's dorm (too many people came to lunch so we couldn't go to restaurant); ate and hung out with students, played a little bit of ping pong tourney (bob and beland faced off for championship... beland lost by 2).
talked with bob some more, got to see his dorm room; talked with bob more... i really thought that i was gonna get a chance to go back to the church and maybe rest a bit, but... yeah, it was hard to fight the urge to shut down and rest, but i pressesd on (i don't think its nearly a trial, but yeah...) we talked a LOT about serious stuff, and though people know him as a bit crazy and goofy, i got to know a very different side of him. i guess its good cause we're similar in the sense that it only takes a little time to get past goofiness to really get to know the real deal. anyways, we talked past the time when everyone left, so bob and i rode bikes to OPU campus, it was a bit unnerving cause the streets were soooo stinkin' narrow.
when we got to campus, people were chatting in OPU cafeteria, so i strolled around campus with bob, and he showed me the biggest classroom in OPU (about 400+ seat lecture hall). again, more chatting when we headed to the ESS meeting. plans had to change again, when we changed rooms because president forgot to book room for the meeting. for the best part: free talk time!! that went till 6, and we went to OPU cafeteria again and had dinner with students. talked with ash (satoshi), and got to hang out with jun more, after which we returned to HBC.
we (music people, minus hyo cause her throat is still a bit raspy) worked on song for sunday. guys went out with kohei, hibino-san's son (bitzer, ray, addison, beland, and me me me) to yakitori restaurant for kohei's birthday (july 2, he's turning 30). food was soo good!! we consumed many different parts of chicken, things that i didn't know we could eat, but yeah, was pretty cool. got my first taste of tori sashimi (raw chicken!) and reminded me of tuna... we stayed out past midnight, came back. everyone was pretty dead, but i showered anyways, and watched a little bit of episode 2 with jun. yeah that was thursday.
adrock out.
