I hope I do this posting thing correctly. So our team is leaving in nine days! It still feels like a long time though because each day is packed with things to do before the school year ends. One of my prayer request is just that the Lord would be glorified in me during these last days at UCLA in a way that will leave a lasting impression on those whom I might not be able to be in such close contact with next year (sorry ,that was a long sentence)--that people would see Christ in me and remember Him. I won't know the outcome of many seeds that were planted, but I just need to trust in the Lord and His sovereign timing. I know that He will not delay.
"He must increase, but I must decrease." -John3:30 (Kevin said he's going to do his mini-sermon on this in Japan! sweeeet!)
I am excited about forming relationships in Japan too. It's pretty much the same prayer request of humility. In Japan or in UCLA, i exist to do the Lord's work. Pray i would not look to my own strength in Japan, but find strength through the gospel. These next weeks especially, I really want to make the most of my time. It is so cool to see that everybody has been faithful to pray for the Japanese people, for our team, for Ray, etc. Pray also that I, as well as the whole team, would really believe that the Lord can use us to do great things for His kingdom in Japan. I'm looking forward to ministering overseas and, hoepfully, gaining a better understanding of how the Lord is working globally.
"Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."-Eph.4:1-3
I had lunch with Irene last week and talked to Beland recently about team unity. I really like our team =). How beautiful the body of Christ is!--it is so evident even within our little team. We're all pretty different, but we all have the mind of Christ! It will be cool to see how the Lord will use each one of us in Japan. We are so privileged that He would use sinner such as us to do His work! This entry was longer than i had planned, but yeah...kinda neat xanga-ing. my first time! kakoii! Yay Fighting Spirit!
"For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." -Col.1:13 =)
