konbanwa!! :) heehee wow i'm so encouraged to read my teammates' posts and how the Lord has been using each one of them and our team. man, it's been so encouraging to know that many of you are praying for our team--our ministry here and our physical health as well. :) it is very very much appreciated!
hmm...well i guess some of you would want to hear some of our health adventures from a person who has been sick too--since beland and hyo have been the healthy ones the last couple of days. hehe hmm...well, me and leah had an adventure in japan! we both got to go to the Osaka Ryonsai Hospital. The hospital was an interesting experience--not really like American ones, but i'm not really sure how to describe it either. It was kind of scary since I couldn't really understand what they were doing to me due to the language barrier, but I'm thankful that I had Jun and Esko with me and that Shingo (a member of HBC) was my doctor. I got some blood drawn and an IV stuck in me--i particularly thought it was funny when Shingo told me that i had "severe dehydration". haha! And I got a particularly cool souvenir--my own japanese medical card!! yeah!!
Anyway, I'm so thankful that God even planned for me and our team to get sick. It really helped us to see the body here work and taught us to trust and have faith in God. I thought it was really cool that God planned for us to get sick during the beginning of our trip and especially during tuesday-wednesday when we didn't have to go to the universities--He totally provided us time to rest! And the girls' host families have been so generous and totally taking care of us sick people. Takanaka-san has been a tremendous encouragement to me, especially when i was sick. i had some good conversations with her--her english is REALLY good! and she really likes to listen to english Christian music, tea, and reading John MacArthur books! she's such a servant!
Oops, well i forgot to give you all an update on how all of us are doing. All of us are feeling a lot better. Me and leah are doing a LOT better too. Leah's almost done taking her medicine and i'll be finishing up my last 2 sets of rounds tomorrow (4 medicines after every meal :\ but praise God for medicine! my tummy still feels a little funny, but the pain, body ache, and fever has disappeared. yay!
mmm...man, it's getting late and i have to leave church soon--not sure i can finish my post until tomorrow, BUT today at OPU was SUCH an encouragment! many of us got to share the gospel....okeee...gotta go now. more tomorrow!
