Day 5 (Lucy)
Konichiwa!
Today we spent time with about 14-17 OPU students. It is neat to see friendships starting to form after only meeting them for a few days. Our main purpose of spending time with students is to help them build conversational English skills, and to be a light of the Gospel to them. Most importantly, we want to be a bridge between the students and Hamadera Bible Church so that they might relationally evangelize them on a long-term basis.
Praise:
- Some of us talked to a student named Shin, who asked a lot of great questions about the Gospel. We were able to share the full Gospel with him, and he is planning to read the Bible in order to better understand Christianity.
- Gospel conversations came naturally
- Depth of relationships with students
Please pray:
- For energy as we visit OPU again tomorrow to talk to the college students
- For Shin's salvation
- An, Tina, Carly, and Elsa's salvation
- For more Gospel opportunities w/ students
- For people to come to the weekend events
- For Shiho (Jun's daughter) as she had another fever today. She has had many developmental complications
PS. Please excuse our grammar. Not only are we tired, but our English is going downhill as well :)
Here are some pictures for today!
