Ohayo Gozaimasu!
Day 2 was spent all day at church enjoying good fellowship with the rest of the Hamadera Bible Church family. They are a joy to be around and to get to know. I have often heard of the immense encouragement it is to see other believers worship in their own culture and language, but I did not realize the full extent of that amazement until I saw it and experienced it. They love the Lord and love to worship the one true God. Three of us were able to share our testimonies in front of the church, translated by Okada Sensei, and from what I heard, the church was encouraged by them.
At lunch, we tried to spread out in order to talk to as many different people as we could. I was able to hang out with the Okada kids (Sophie and Nathan “Nay-nay”). Their energy and joy is contagious.
Best quote from Nay-nay: “YAY ME!!” ::claps for himself::
In the evening, Beland, Justine and I helped play music for the youth group and OS taught them from the story of Joseph. The kids seem excited to be there and hopefully the lesson was helpful for them.
Keep praying for us and thanks for the support that you all continue to show us! It is good to know that we have people pleading to the Lord on our behalf. We’ve a lot to update on our trip to OPU and we will be heading to OU on Tuesday so STAY TUNED!!
In Christ,
Eric
