Today was a day jam-packed with activities. The busyness of this week is just beginning! After our team meeting this morning Hibino-San and Koyama-San made us a delicious lunch of yakisoba noodles and okonomiyaki. It was fun to hang out with two ladies from HBC and see their joy in serving us and making us eat “American sized” portions of food.
After lunch we had some downtime and used it to make cards for Oumi-San. Praise God that the surgery was successful!! But please continue to pray for his recovery and for Mrs. Oumi also. Hopefully we will be able to see him again before we leave.

Then we went to OPU to meet the students for an afternoon of karaoke!! Our team really likes to sing, so karaoke was the perfect event for us! Even though we didn’t get to talk to the students too much, it was a good time to see their crazy sides as some of them are really into karaoke. We ended up singing songs for 3 hours! The Japanese students really liked Michael Jackson, Backstreet Boys, and the Beatles. Here is a video of the guys singing an interesting song…
When we got back from karaoke we went to eat a late dinner at Denny’s with Kat. Denny’s in Japan is quite different from Denny’s in America! I ordered rice with a hamburger and curry sauce on top; it was pretty tasty! It was fun to hang out with Kat and share funny stories. Priscilla and I have been staying at her apartment so it’s nice that she can hang out with the team too!
and here are some pictures from today!

Prayer requests:
1. Please pray for the Nara and OPU students. We will be seeing them one more time this week, so pray for their hearts and that we would be able to challenge them in their thinking!
2. Oumi-San and Mrs. Oumi, that recovery would be smooth and uncomplicated and that they would continue to trust in the Lord.
3. Our team, that as a whole we would be a good testimony to the students and that they would see the love of Christ in how we interact with each other
4. The Okada family. Marcia and the kids have arrived safely in CA! You can pray that they would transition well to life in America and that the kids would be helpful!
