Hello!!!
We apologize for the delay in updates. We’ve had a fun-filled packed weekend, but we’re excited to have some time now to post some updates.
For our first full day in Osaka, we headed out to Osaka University to have lunch with some of the students there and spend the day with them. It was our first experience in a Japanese dining hall … and it was delicious!
We spent the afternoon hanging out in the cafeteria playing Apples to Apples and getting to know the students. 9 students came out to spend the day with us. It was probably the longest Apples to Apples game we have ever played, but the student seemed to enjoy it, as it allowed them to practice their English with us as well. Later some of the team and the students headed outside to play some catch with the football while the other half of us stayed inside to chat.
The students then took us to Umeda so that we could sight-see / shop a bit. Even though we were with mostly guys, everyone seemed to enjoy walking around and “shopping”. We were able to get dinner with the students and split up into smaller groups to eat, which allowed us great opportunities to talk with the students more in a smaller setting.
All that to say, it was a great first day in Japan. The Japanese students’ eagerness to hangout with us was contagious to our own excitement. We’re thankful that God provided us with these opportunities to start building relationships with the students at OU and we are very eager to see them again on Wednesday.

Please be praying:
1. That we would be able to build and deepen relationships with the students there
2. That God would soften their hearts and that we would have opportunities to share the Gospel with them
3. That we would be bold and discerning in sharing the Gospel
Thanks!
