This morning we went to HBC and Ed shared a devo on Philippians 2, reminding us to consider others’ preferences before our own and of the importance of team unity. I am very thankful that everyone on our team is from GOC and that we are not just friends but brothers and sisters in Christ
After a delicious lunch, we ventured to Hamadera Koen (park) where we walked around and played on the zip line and giant slide! It was a nice day and the park was very peaceful. Then we made our first trip to Lawson!! Lawson is like a Japanese version of 7-11. We bought ice cream and random snacks like “fettuccine”, which is actually a gummy candy. I got a Crunky ice cream hahah it was just a crunch bar.
Then OS and Etsko graciously drove us to OPU so we could meet the students. I think today was one of the most encouraging times that we’ve spent with students. We had time to have free talk which allowed for deeper and more purposeful conversations. At my table we talked about evolution vs creation and church. I thought it was very interesting that many of the students don’t really care about or think about religion, and their only exposure is cultural traditions. Some of the students seem curious about what church is like, so we were able to share about it more.
Our team was actually able to share the whole Gospel with 3 students!!! Praise God for providing these opportunities! The students today were pretty willing to talk so that was quite encouraging. We will be going sight seeing with these students on Friday, so hopefully the same students come out and we’ll be able to follow up with them.

Please continue praying:
- for the 3 students who heard the gospel today
- for the hearts of the students that we met and will meet
- our team’s energy (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual)
- that we would be intentional in conversations
