Eric here! I made it to Japan, guys! Thanks for praying for me and for all the concern and care that you showed towards me.
To recap, ater my busy weekend, I hopped on a plane and made my way to Japan. On the plane ride here, God granted me an opportunity to talk to Terry, who is in the army and on an assignment. I was able to talk to him a bit and share with him why I'm going to Japan. After finding out he professes Christ, I tried to encourage him to strive for greater obedience to our Savior through Scripture reading and the spiritual disciplines. Pray for him that he'll be safe on his assignment and more importantly, that he'll grow in his knowledge, true love for Christ and salvation, if he isn't saved already.
Once I made it to Japan, I was then greeted by a now, very cool-looking Nono. I'm thankful for the time I was able to spend with the Mortimers, playing, sharing and enjoying sweet fellowship. They are extremely influential people in my life and have greatly impacted my spiritual growth through their wisdom and love. It was extremely uplifting to see how much the kids wanted to see me and play with me. I was able to catch up with Chris and Midori and talk to them about all the different things God has been teaching me this past year through small group, dating and dental school applications.
Pray for the Mortimers to be able to raise their children faithfully in the Lord and that they will all come to Christ. Pray that they can set the example of love in their marriage for other couples in the church. Pray that they can draw closely to Christ and grow in their knowledge of and obedience to God. Pray for God to use them powerfully to impact HBC.
Here's some pictures from my time with the Mortimers! Enjoy!
